Coach Kele Fitzhugh has announced his retirement after 29 years of dedicated service as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Shasta College. His last day of service with the district was May 22, 2026.
REDDING, Calif. — The Shasta College Knights closed out Golden Valley Conference play in thrilling fashion Monday night, defeating rival Butte College 104-102 in overtime in their home Gym. The high-scoring battle showcased grit, poise, and plenty of late-game drama as the Knights rallied behind a big second-half surge and clutch free-throw shooting.
Shasta College picked up its second Golden Valley Conference win with a dominant second-half surge, rolling past College of the Siskiyous 94–65 Wednesday night in Redding.
Shasta built an early cushion and never fully let it go Friday night, topping Mendocino 79–68 after taking an 11-point lead into halftime. Mendocino matched Shasta point-for-point after the break (37–37 in the second half), but the first-half deficit proved too much to erase.
